Last year, we were able to meet our goal of $10,000 in donations for Fortune Fund. With many exciting events being planned for the new year, we want to challenge ourselves and our employees to aim for a higher target of $15,000! We look forward to seeing what our team can accomplish this year. If you would like to be a part of this cause, please visit the Become A Sponsor page and fill out the Single Contribution Form. Stay tuned for our upcoming events to be posted!
They say that a goal without a plan is just a wish. Well, what is a plan without people to carry it out? In September, S2Tech decided to inspire its employees to reach a goal of $10,000 in donations to the Fortune Fund. Since it was already the end of the third quarter, it could have been easy to wonder if this would be possible, since the current donation projection for 2014 was about $7,000. A committee was organized, and the members created a plan. First, we organized a Fortune Fund Freeze out where employees nominated each other to have ice water poured on them and/or make a donation to Fortune Fund. From this activity alone, we set a record donation month of $2,610! Then, we made it personal by asking employees to fill out Encouragement Cards to send to the students while they undergo the pressure of exams. Through these extra activities, the generosity of our employees and outside contributors, we made our goal! Thank you for all your kind support of the Fortune Fund.
S2Tech is thrilled to report that Fortune Fund was able to provide students with 5,415 notebooks, along with many other supplies such as backpacks, maps, exam pads, geometry boxes! These supplies benefited ninety students, of all ages, from four different schools. Happy new school year!
Sasi Chaitanya has been a mentor for over 3 years. A quote from a former Indian president, “each one teach one,” has inspired her to give back and put great value on education. Sasi appreciates that S2Tech has provided this program to help students excel both educationally and personally.
The S2Tech Fortune Fund has provided Zilla Parishad High School in Gudur with 25 new desks and 4 computer stations complete with computers, chairs and electrical set up. Now they have internet access to enrich their studies.
Fortune Fund .. that has adopted 5 kids and promised to provide computer lab in Guduru Zilla Parishad High School.
S2Tech.com, an US based software company announced that it is adopting 5 kids from Guduru ZP high school, in Kandukuru Mandal. Brenda Yockey, Lena Mathis, Shera Dalin visited the School as per the company's CEO, Day Veerlapati’s suggestion. During the visit, they mentioned that employees of S2Tech are doing services under the name Fortune Fund.”. Employees contribute some amount towards this fund and the company matches an equal amount to the fund. This total amount is spent on service programs.
They have adopted Sreelatha, Varsha, Sirisha, Purushotham and Sivakumar from the School. They said the company is going to bear the whole expenditure for their future needs. The company is helping a total of 200 students including these 5. They said they had provided a borewell as well as a mini tank in this school to cater the needs of drinking water. In near future, a computer lab with internet services will be provided, they promised. Mandal Special officer Durgaiah, MEO incharge officer ChandraMohan, MPDO Umarani and the Head Master Bhaskar were present during the program.
The S2Tech team at Des Moines location organized a fundraiser with virtual help from the 'IPL cricket match league' happening in India. During the IPL cricket matches, the S2Tech team played the guessing games with a $1/$2 entry to guess the winner or the team score or other combinations with variable returns. The team had fun guessing and winning/losing. At the end of about 70 matches, the total fund raised was just $16. (yeah, many of the S2Tech members are that good at predicting the correct results). But then all the winners gave back their winnings to the fundraiser! And with some extra fund received from some team members and then topping off the fund, we had raised total of $100. $50 was donated to the 'Iowa Temple and cultural center' on behalf of "S2Tech team". $50 was given to the S2Tech fortune fund.

The Fortune Fund is registered under the charity association. The Fortune Fund was specifically designed for the low income but intelligent students to enable them to obtain a good quality education. This year we have 50 students from 2 different schools enrolled in our Fortune Fund Program.
"I liked the way the kids treated us when we arrived at the school. We were a little bit late at Matamapally that day and they were patiently waiting for us. It made me feel how important it was for the kids to see their mentors. I can just see how happy they became when they got the gifts which we bought and it was a great feeling for me. I’m very happy that I’m a part of this Fortune Fund program and I hope S2Tech will be including more children in this program and make it a more successful one."
"The Fortune fund is the versatile program conducted by our company. I have visited both the schools on fortune fund trips. These schools reflect our nation’s future. Participating in this program makes me feel very proud because as a human being it is very satisfied feeling while motivating and encouraging village budding talents in the schools. The innocence in their faces, zeal in their eyes and talent in them is very good to see. All the children who are eligible for Fortune Fund are energetic and proactive. Thanks to Mr. Day Veerlapati and Mr. Pratap Gonae for conducting such social development programs for students education. This program will not only boost the student’s talent but also improves the standard of living in their families and within the village. This will also make a drastic change in our nation’s future. It’s an honorable thought and implementation. It might be a small contribution on behalf of S2Tech but remember that "Small drops make a mighty Ocean" so,I wish this program will help producing great leaders and talented citizens of the country".
"Really it is a great thought of helping and encouraging children towards a good career through the FORTUNE FUND program. We shared lot of ideas and sweet moments with the children in Lakinepally School. We are saying our heart-ful thanks to S2Tech for developing a program that allows its employees to participate in an educational mentoring program. My special thanks to Mr. Pratap Gonae for organizing useful Talent tests and competitions for the children in schools."
And we would not ignore the contribution made by Mr. Day Veerlapati on behalf of S2Tech. Mr. Day Veerlapati matches every rupee for the total contribution made or received by the employee(s) of S2Tech.
